Archive for the ‘Frames’ Category

For those of you who know me, you know how I love arts and crafts! My life is invested in art and my daily life is filled with the creation of art in so many different forms. I would describe myself as a dabbler, inspired by so many different aspects of life, I love to meet new artists, learn new skills, and simply create. I fell in love with photography at a young age and it is, has been, and always will be a constant in my life.  Ceramics is also a constant, most of the dishes in my home are handmade, I have given countless handmade pottery gifts over the years, sold at farmers markets, and currently teach a class once a week here in the community. Within the past year or so I have added a new love, making frames. It all started because I needed a birthday gift for a good friend and a new craft quickly emerged…. frames and photos… could there be a better combo? Created from handmade papers, old maps, children’s artwork, old patterns… each frame is handcrafted and designed to be displayed with or without a photo. I have an upcoming show, the Spring Craftacular, a group of amazing local artists that will take place on May 1 at Open Space… I would love for you to come by, say hi, and check out some amazing local talent!

Your official invite… spread the word… a percentage of all sales will be going to the Women’s Initiative!

some frames I am working on for the show…

Hope to see you there!
